I’m sorry I’ve not been back on the forums here... my most recent persuits have been in The Spoils. Unfortunately, this site has no Spoils branch, so I’ve really been at a loss for useful things to do. I recently 3rd placed at the Boston $13k tournament, so I’m seeing my focus pay off on one game, and I think I’m pretty finished with regular MTG.
Unless anybody particularly feels like they need me for MTG or Conor feels like starting up a Spoils section of this site, I’ll bow out on being a moderator and frequent poster here. The Spoils is a better game than magic in it’s fundamentals and when I went to the prerelease for Future Sight I honestly felt bored, having been accustomed to Spoils. Winning money and liking the new game better, I’m out of MTG unless some good sealed tournaments come through.
If, in fact, there’s no reason for me to stay, I’d just like to thank all of you other mods, especially Felipe, who largely kept the Magic portion of this site alive through interacting with me and posting lots of new ideas on the MTG boards. Thanks to Conor for making this site and continuing to believe in promoting a variety of games, but I’m going to college next year and I need to make money and cut down some hobbies, so Spoils has come in over MTG, with the unfortunate consequence of cutting out this site as well.
I recommend anybody searching for a new game (to play or to include on the site) to visit thespoils.com and view the official community forums. It shouldn’t be difficult to pick up and if anybody has questions about it, they can PM me- this is wired to e-mail me when I get a PM so I’ll know.
