Now that we have more than one moderator, I figure it will be easier for us to discuss things in a forum rather than through PMs or emails. Only the admin (myself) and moderators (Phazanzar, La_Sin_Grail, AnxiousChieftain) can access this forum; it is invisible to all other users, so we can use this space to freely discuss any issues that may come up.
I will also use this forum to type up a sort of "moderators’ manual" that will help make sure we are all on the same page about our Player Community policies. See the stickied threads for details. |

Welcome AnxiousChieftain to moderatorship! Take a look at the stickies posted here for some general moderating guidelines, and feel free to post or PM any questions you have.
Moderator access is now set up as follows:
AnxiousChieftain -- general forums, LOTR forums
La_Sin_Grail -- general forums, MTG forums
Phazanzar -- all forums
I’m assuming everyone will be most comfortable moderating for their specific games, and this setup also allows users to direct any questions to the right people. But if you’d like moderator privileges in other forums as well, that’s no problem, just let me know. |

Thanks, LSG and Cobra!
I like the way that the moderating is set up. I wouldn’t have a clue what to do in the MTG forums. |

Thanks!
I’ve got a question - if someone uses a slightly offensive swear word, should we edit it or leave it go? |

| Good question... I think it’s up to the individual moderator. I’d generally say anything intolerant to religion, race, or sexuality to be off limits, as well as the f word, but I’d say thats about all I’d edit. |
