Age of Empires II [released 1999]:
Empire Earth [released 2001]:
Rome: Total War [released 2004]:
Now tell me, which game is more asthetically pleasing?
I vote R:TW |

| you have to remember AOE was made in 1999 while R. TW was released in 2004 also we don’t have a good graphics card so it wouldn’t work on are com. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

But still, it’s the design of the game. Both EE and AoE are based on that top-down view of all your buildings and everything...it’s very artificial-looking. But Total War has always been very realistic.
Here’s a screenshot from Shogun: Total War (the very first TW game).

And Shogun was released a while back. |

| R:TW is a top-down game than you can zoom in on with your mouse scroll. |

still liken EE
btw, if I wanted graphics I would play my AoEIII, but I never do because it gets dull. Bad gameplay. That pic for EE was really bad. Let’s see what I got....
My Knights reading themselves to bring down the enemy’s wall
My archers are behind vollying over the top
I took a pic of my ally’s army just before we attacked
That game was over before it begun
My Grenadiers mowing down my opponents Dragoons
Perfect Strategy Micromanagment
Economy in early ages
HMmmmm food
My armies reading for the attack
I’m hotkeying the groups for micromanagment tenchniques during combat |
