At the end of the day none of us was there. We didnt go to Iraq, we arent in the loop on American secret information we havent seen any official government dossiers.

If the papers reported there had been 10 nukes found in saddams old garden we’d have to believe it cos its all the info we got. George Bush could have requested that lie be leaked to the papers. Not one single persons evidence or arguments on this thread and any to come are valid unless they saw it with their own eyes. I hate the media; pack of lying scum. You really think anything youre told or read is near the truth? How many cover ups and secret agendas are for the presidents/prime minister’s staff only? Etc....

We know jack of the truth so on the face of it, why wage a war? Thats the only hard fact we know. We invaded another country. All the rest is conjecture from our point of view.

Believe what you want but it doesnt make it true.

The media only shows the bad side of the war. Actually, my dad has seen some stuff in a certain country that I may have mentioned earlier that is too secret for my to say it on these boards. Too bad SpecOps guys aren’t allowed to give away their info (cept to the government).

ok guys! what’s up? how are y’all?

To put my two cents in...

We are in the war right now we can’t just back out, or else we let all the deaths be in vain.

Suddam was a weapon of mass destruction, the U.S.’s job is to bring light to the world where hope is not. Suddam was killing his own people, is it just me or is that a problem?

we can’t just go attack Saudi Arabia because that holds two of the Islamic religious capitals... do I really need to say what would happen if we attacked? However we have troop presence over there to keep things in line.

We are close to Israel if they need help.

Sorry this is a brief synopsis of my view.
There is a power in this world beyond any of us, and Jesus is that power and The Savior.

Cool this is my attempt to look cool.

If we left right now, the whole place would become 100 times more dangerous than it is now, and we will get another attack like 911 quite quickly.

Ok who said it was? What gave you the right to assume you’re better than everyone else, just because youre larger and powerful? How can you say what your country’s job is? You cant self appoint yourself as a messianic nation. If you hadnt we wouldnt be in this mess. (O and granted my country is just as foolish cos we did it as well so dont bother criticsing us I accept it.)

Im sure Islamic terrorists are in the belief they are trying to bring light to the world and make all us "heathens" understand their beliefs and "enlighten" us. If you start getting ideas into your head that you are in the right and can start messing with other countries, you create exactly what is happening now; a gigantic cock-up.

By the way before anyone jumps up and down on this i dont support terrorism obviously im trying to illuminate the aspect of bias.

It’s strange I don’t see you ’spreading hope where hope is not’ in Sudan. Because I think everyone would agree that that country was and is in a much worse state than Iraq was when Saddam was in control. What about Zimbabwe as well, or Burma. Where is their home made American brand hope? The fact is you couldn’t care less about those country’s. I wonder what the difference could be? You have to understand that the rest of the world isn’t looking at America with doe eyes thinking ’Oh how wonderfully enlightened and free nation they are. I sure hope they come over here and show us how to run our countries’. No instead nearly everyone thinks of you as a greedy, imperialist super power sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong and screwing up the world even worse whenever it does. I’ll probably get hated off these boards for saying this but I don’t care cos someone had to. Its a shame because I know first hand that American people are extremely nice and generally belive their helping as you guys do. But you have to understand that you are not helping. You are simply turning more and more countries against you.

and the sad thing is that turin is correct Sad . We do tend to stick our nose in where it doesn’t belong and we are making more and more enemies in the world each year. I’m proud to be an American of course but we put more on ourselves than we need to. We have problems over here that need attention as well but other countries get our help instead of helping our own people. I support our troops in what they have to do don’t get me wrong, but I think that alot of them are now dying for a lost cause. There will never be peace in the middle east and you can look to the bible for that. I understand that not everybody on the boards believes the same way when it comes to religion and how they intrepret the words in the bible so I will leave it at that. Granted we have tried to help the people in Iraq, but hey want it their way and why shouldn’t they have it that way. Our goal was to get rid of saddam and help them develope their country and Saddam is gone and we have tried to help them, but they will do what they want with their country like any people would. Stop letting soldiers die for sometjing that will never change. They have done their jobs so I say bring them home (and not just american soldiers). Irag might be a country doing the right thing for awhile if at all but they will go back to what they know and noone but themselves can change that. I’m sure I will be bashed for something, but hey that is how I feel and I’m not bad mouthing American or our troops but the war in Iraq will lead nowhere so stop letting men and women die over there for something that will never be changed.

There are way too many sides to this argument. Some believe war is completely wrong, some think that the American Government is too pushy/nosy, and others are being fed by propaganda pushed by the media, for example the issues involving a soldier "injustly" killing an Iraqi civilian.

Personally I think that we did the right thing at the beginning of this whole mess. We did what we could to drive out and get rid of Saddam and slow down terrorism (to a degree). The problem now is when and how to back out and get all our soldiers home.
