To preface this, I may have a bit of a lower tolerance of this sort of thing than most people, but I find comments in the vein of the one below to be rather offensive:

Quote:
Actually she is hot I can send a pic or something and it makes for great threesomes.

Is it just me or are sexually tinted comments out of line, even on the member’s forum? I don’t want to be a Nazi about it, but I also want this to be a place that parents would feel comfortable sending their kids and I don’t think that comments with overt sexual content are appropriate. Veiled double entendre is another matter, but something as overt as that is on my "Delete/Edit on Sight" list.

Am I out of line?

It seems that there has been an increasing amount of it recently from a self proclaimed "perv".

Thanks,

I agree with you - WKBC and physcosick can definitely get out of hand. My little bro is anxious to sign up on this forum, but I really don’t think he should if posts such as that are allowed.

I vote that we have a 0-tolerance rule on inappropriate posts such as the ones we’ve been seeing lately, and that we give warnings to the members who create them.

I agree; the offensive posts are getting way out of hand. Actually, I think WKBC is way more out there than psychosick. tOO was also making some rather offensive comments to elf lvr in the Flaming topic; he called elf lvr a bastard, and hence Cobra locked the topic.
I had to put something here.

Forums are 13+ anyways.

If my memory serves correctly, if you’re under that you have to have parental permission or you are breaking the law.

Hence, I don’t think "bastard" is overly offensive. When it comes to sexual/obscene comments I would say use your own judgement. And even if I don’t find something overly offensive, I’m not genna care if you do and decide to delete it.

Hey guys, I’ve been away from the forums for a few days and haven’t read the posts in question (if they’re still up). But as a general matter, anything that could reasonably be considered offensive ("bastard" included) should not be allowed. We’re dealing with different age groups, cultures, and even first languages here, and AC raises a good point as well -- it’s not uncommon for folks to be investigating the forums for possible use by their kids or younger siblings. All of these means we need to err on the safe side when it comes to vulgarity, sexuality, and so on.

Please feel free to delete or edit any offensive posts as necessary, and send a brief warning message to the author. (If that person continues making offensive posts, let me know.)

WitchKingBlkCapt (or however you spell it) told me to my face that he will be pushing the rules as far as he can. He is a self proclaimed "perv" and will probably be a person that we need to keep an eye on when he is posting in the Members’ Lounge. Elsewhere he has a tendency to be on target, and clean, but the Members’ Lounge posts have been the most offensive thus far.

Just thought I might give a heads up to everyone.
