I wanted a place so we could post feedback on the Forum Shops, and ideas on how to improve this fun system even more. Store-credit for gp is BANNED, any post suggesting it will be deleted (as soon as I can find a moderator online and politely ask him  ). I’d also like to point out to Cobra that, in the Admin Announcements, where you have explanations about how to get gp, it says that a 5-star rating gives 1 gp, and I believe it gives 2.
Now, I’ve been thinking for quite some time, and looking at the system, and I think that, first off, we need new gadgets to purchase, it’s a fairly low selection.
Ideas for items:
Badges
Medals
Extra posts for the Post Count (but it WOULD say that X posts were bought)
Animated Avatars
Different color pattern for the Post’s Window
Different rank-showing symbols (you could by a lot of them, and choose which one to use, besides the stars, although I like those)
Personalized smileys/New smileys
Avatar Frames: For instance, I could purchase a LotR frame, and my avatar picture would appear as a LotR card, with my avvy for a picture, and I could write in the game text (could be broken down into Regular Frame and Enhanced Frame, for the purpose of writing the game text), so if someone clicked on it, a pop-up window would appear, with "our" card, just like it does when you click a linked card name.
Different letter styles
Ideas for abilities:
Pickpocket: steal a gp from a user (but making it limited, and only usable "against" users idle for more than 3-4 weeks or so)
Decimal rating: being able to rate an article as 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5.
Enhanced decimal rating: type in your grade and the system calculates the average rating
Edit poll: We could edit our own polls, removing them, exchanging them for new ones, etc...
Stash: Members can’t steal gp from you.
Donate: As we had in the begginning, just type in how much, for who.
General ideas:
Add more user ranks
Award users badges for X time spent online, logged in
Award users badges for winning Cobra-sanctioned DC contests
Award medals for Article Contest winners and runner-ups
Award medals for X dollars spent on cards
Make a new Riddle game, this one sucks, can’t get past level 3 of the MTG one! (sore loser ) But seriously, add new levels.
Award bibfortuna the rank of Rulebook.
Add a "card-cost" search to Advanced Search (and break it down to converted mana cost and regular cost in MTG)
Have a "Post Search" engine, where you type in the posters and part of the text you want to find. (you could also have something like this show up when you click on a member to check his profile.)
Have a "testimonials" area show up when you check someone’s profile, and add a link to it under the username/rank/whatever. |

Not a medal, as it’s not that great of an achievment, but a badge.
I also think user-ranks could consider post count AND medals/badges won. So, a Cobra Cards Master would have to collect all the badges and medals (medals should also be awarded to Riddle-Game finishers, alongside the rank of Savant), all the available items and add-ons AND have 1000-3000 posts! How does that sound?!? Cool, huh?
Oh, yeah, I want black stars at my user-rank, is that possible? Could fall into the category of different rank-showing thingies. |

Sounds like great ideas, to be sure, but cobra did say at one point that he would be changing the forum shops a litte every so often... and with the induction of two new card games he probably has a lot on his hands right now.
It would be cool to have "badges" and "medals" and whatnot, showing people exactly how great I am... 
Plus, if these things were for more than post count, it would reveal spammers for who they really are.
I do dislike the "stealing" gp idea, there is no way to balance it out. If I went to camp or on vacation or something and came back to find my gp gone, I would be mad. All that hard work down the drain, for the enjoyment of a little pilferer? Also, if a member just plain never gets on, they wont have that much gp in the first place... |

| But that’s just ditching gp so my gp doesnt get ditched, you know? then everybody would ’have’ to buy protection, and the only people you could steal from are those who are never on anyways... who have very little gp and no way to increase/protect it. |

I still like the donate idea. esp when I want to give someone lots of Gp for a contest of something.
I don’t think we should have something that reward spammers, or time spent on the site.
SoP and elf lvr would rule all under that system.
But we could have something that would help users steal GP from spammers to even it out,  |
