At Mr. Lurtzy's request:
Before you read further, if you are easily offended, disapprove of strong language, or are a fan of Brett Favre, I suggest you do not read the remainder of this passage. Thanks so much.
Edit: After being censored, I re-toned the language (at my own request). This site has plenty of filters to censor strong language for those with sensitive ears, and I also posted a clear warning for people who disapprove of swearing to avoid the topic.
Especially since, as I read it, I was very tame.
If any of you want to read this, but don't want to see words that you wouldn't use in front of your grandmother, I suggest you go to:

If Brett Favre drove off a cliff, was ejected from his vehicle, wrapped around a cactus, and infected with AIDs, that would still be better than he deserves.
As a lot of long-time members here know, I am a huge football (American) fan. So, when I go through my list of issues with Brett Favre, trust me that they are well-researched.
1. He's a #$&*@!. Let me give you an example. Upon the Green Bay Packers drafting a rookie quarterback, said rookie was asked about his excitement. The rookie said, "I'm excited to play with one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history." When Brett Favre was asked if he was excited to be a mentor to this young quarterback, Brett said, "He has a playbook; I'm not here to train my competition." What an #$&*@! hole.
2. He takes advantage of systems. In Green Bay, he basically controlled the team's decisions in hiring and firing of head coaches. He took advantage of Minnesota by not showing up to training camp and not developing a rapport with his receivers...unlike, let's say, Peyton Manning, who went to BYU to visit Austin Collie and practice with him while Collie was still in school.
3. He makes bad football decisions. He will likely be remembered in a handful of best quarterbacks ever, but I tell you what...even in his heyday, I would not want him as my team's quarterback. I would rather have someone who is not too proud to throw away the football instead of trying to jump and throw a shovel pass and maybe get it to a receiver. Sure, the ones that make it are amazing plays. But his interceptions never end up on SportsCenter and most of those plays turn out in fumbles or interceptions.
4. After every play, good or bad, him running with his arms up towards a referee is sickening. The refs aren't out to get you. They are doing their best. I'm tired of your #$&*@!, Brett.
5. The retirements. I am a Giants Fan. So when Brett Favre's last pass as a Packer was an interception to Corey Webster...that was special for me. I was happy to not having to hear John Madden talk about Brett Favre anymore. Brett had made it clear to the Packers he wasn't coming back, so the Packers started training Aaron Rodgers to be their quarterback (good QB, by the way). Then Brett decides he will come back. Well, that really screws the Packers. Now they have to basically give him away to the Jets. Then, when he retired from the Jets, he demanded the Jets release him so he could sign with the Vikes. What a douche bag. Basically, once February through July roll around, the stories have to all be about Brett Favre.
6. He's selfish. He makes questionable decisions to control records. He is more concerned with personal accomplishments than the well-being of the team. Even Michael Strahan, one of my favorite players of all time (and one of the best Giants ever) got to take advantage of Favre falling so Strahan could set the sack record. I mean, Brett just slid down and let Strahan touch him. Who is to say Mark Gastineau didn't deserve that record, Brett?!
I could go on, but I'm bored of writing. Basically, the guy thinks he is above the game of football. When I look at quarterbacks like Peyton Manning or Drew Brees, who played in this year's Super Bowl, they respect the game they play in. Brett Favre does not. Green Bay is Brett's, according to Brett, and his betrayal of that franchise was a #$&*@! move.
I won't buy Wrangler Jeans or a Hyundai car or shop at Sears because of him. Should I wish death upon him? Probably not, that was a little sarcastic, but man, he is not a role model.
