I have noticed a lot of activity recently by mods, vandalising their own and other's posts, mostly in the Council of Cobra. Whilst I see this as harmless fun I worry our general population may get frustrated by the constant use of modding powers...

I really think we must be careful when we moderate/vandalise threads, even as a joke.

Please tell me if you think I am out of line, but I talk with people and I am just trying to raise their concerns to the heads of TLHH.

I think you're actually right, although as long as we keep it to an occasional friendly banter between US, never dragging other Forumers into it, I think it's fine. They might actually have a laugh over it, watching us "fight" from the sidelines.

Isn't this the sort of elitist attitude that caused problems with the Chosen Ones on CC? I have to say that I don't think the "arena" in the CoC is doing us any favours.

Yeah, I have to agree with that, although, for instance, Anautikus, GIl-Estel and Shieldmaiden had their own Topic on the Member's Lounge, as well as having it here, so if NBarden, M64 and whoever wants to make a topic for them there, where's the harm? I just don't agree with it being stickied, for the reasons I stated there.

Funny...the Chosen Ones came to mind for me, too.

I think it's mostly harmless fun...but I'd prefer it be done here rather than out in the public eye.

At least FM is on the right track by unstickying it.

I backed you on the issue in the deck forum when NK went berserk, even though I disagreed with you. The most important thing is consistency, at least, to APPEAR consistent. So let's keep the inter-mod disagreements to this forum, shall we?

I wouldn't mind seeing the arena topic hidden from the rest of the forum-goers. It reads something like "Look at us! Look at us! See how much fun we're having? We'll even sticky this for your convenience so you won't miss a thing." We may think we're being endearing, or maybe the rest of the forum is wondering when the mods will get over themselves already. It might be less fun than we think to be on the outside looking in.

I deleted it this morning. It was a spur of the moment idea that I thought would be "hilarious" but as time went by I grew very 'eh' towards it.
