Stickying

[FM]

I still think an "Ongoing DC Contests" thread stickied would solve most of the issues. Also, I have stickied a few threads here and there, but I think I made the right call, I stickied stuff that's bound to help the users of that particular Forum. I think we should use more general threads, like Tables of Contents (boy, I sure love those, don't I?), isntead of sticking a bunch of stuff. So, for instance, have the Chamber of Mazarbul moderator create a locked, stickied topic, in which to post only links to ongoing contests (he could ALSO post a link to a "DC winners" thread in this stickied thread, again saving the trouble to sticky yet another one, or even write down the winners in it). The way I see it, it's just a matter of getting our organizational skills in top shape, and I think we'd better start doing it now that the Forum is small enough to make the job easier.

I like FM's idea. A lot. I'd strongly recommend that for all forums. As I recall, AC had something similiar in the CC DC forum with completed and in-progress DC sets...though it fell out of use months ago.

So Thran or lem0n, how about you make one DC Contest stickied thread with links to active contests. Right now it's only one, granted, but it's sure to grow.

And sometime in the very near future, I will organize a list of DC sets myself and post that as well. I'll encourage folks to move their sets over here (or I suppose we could post links to the CC archive), and then get them all linked up in one thread.

Just like old times.

For the no-longer active DC sets, posting a link would probably be fine. Over time I'll be working on the usability of the old CC, but as it is, it still works well.
