Hi there,

The first think thing that comes my mind when speaking of low rare shadow deck in movie block that is really effective is isen swarm. Mostly all the good guys are C or U (even that U cards like Isengard Warrior (3U61) are not that easy to find). You can add Enquea, LoM for some crowd control and even Goblin Runner for extra pool.

For maximum effectiveness you have to pair it with some freeps that cicles well, but right now i don't have any at mind that don't use rares. Maybe you can use a good C/U version of gimli along with devilng and gandalf, the one that draw cards. Splash faramir that negates skirmish stuff and some gorn (maybe the defender +1) and you have a decent poormans deck...

This is just a suggestion. This doesn't have to be the exact deck someone trades me:

Frodo, Hope of Free Peoples
[I don't need a ring--I can give her Isildur's Bane]
Arwen, Elven Rider
Ranger of Ithilien

Aragorn, Heir of Elendil x4
Boromir, Defender of Minas Tirith x2
Faramir, Son of Denethor, x2
Ranger of Ithilien

Sword of Gondor x4
Hobbit Sword x2
Elven Sword x2
Boromir's Gauntlets x2

Elendil's Valor x2
Swordarm of the White Tower x3
Dagger Strike x2
A Ranger's Versatility x2

That's a solid beginner's deck for the good guy's side. Not a lot of conditions to keep track of...and The Choice of Luthien would fit in nicely, if someone had a few copies of that as well to replace a card or two with.

As for the baddies, I really liked the Isengard swarm/regroup wounding idea. So here's my idea on that.
Saruman, Servant of the Eye x3
Gollum, Nasty Treacherous Creature
Isengard Warrior x3
Isengard Smith x3
Isengard Servant x3
Isengard Retainer x3
Isengard Plodder x3

Isengard Axe x4

Trapped and Alone x2

The Trees Are Strong x2
Captured By the Ring x3

Sites:
Steps of Edoras
Rohirrim Camp
Hall of the Kings
Pelennor Prairie
Steward's Tomb
Minas Tirith Sixth Circle
Ruined Capitol
Northern Ithilien
Dagorlad

If someone has the commons and uncommons (and a few starter deck premiums in there--sorry) lying around and doesn't mind putting this or something like this together for me, PM me the cards you want off of my list and we'll work something out.

Thanks for your suggestions to the two who have stopped by so far.

Here's another Poorman's deck that would probably work out well enough.

Frodo, Hope of Free Peoples
Eomer, Valiant Warchief
Eowyn, Sister-daughter of Theoden

Theoden, Leader of Spears x3
Elfhelm, Marshall of Rohan
Aragorn, Heir to Isildur
Elite Rider x3
Deor

Brego
Ranger's Sword
Swift Steed x4
Eomer's Spear x2
Rider's Spear x4

Fortress Never Fallen
We Left None Alive x2
Arrow Slits x2

Forth Eorlingas! x2

Solid enough. Won't win tournaments, but at least somewhat competitive.

Great idea on Mordor Fiend, unfortunately he is X-listed for Movie Block (and with pretty good reason). Do you think you could put together a 60 card poorman's deck? I was just throwing out ideas and would really like to get the cards for it sooner than later.
