Gina wouldn't like this deck, but she's too young to know.

There are several types of popular Shadow sides that all have their own hooks:

Enduring Nazgul--take more wounds to get stronger. Can corrupt, can damage.
[Moria] Swarm--Play as many cheap minions as possible to overwhelm the Free Peoples.
[Isengard] Orcs--Swarm and wound during the Regroup Phase (after skirmishes)
Uruk-Hai--Damage bonuses. Control sites. Get big.
Besiegers--Control sites to swarm. Control sites to get stronger. Several different ways to play.
Southrons--Pre-skirmish wounding. Discarding companions.
Easterlings--Corruption. Makes them stronger.
Corsairs--Very powerful. Manipulate tokens to #$&*@! up the Free Peoples.
[Sauron] Trackers--Initiative strength.
[Sauron] Direct Wounding--need Hate. Generally trackers with Under the Watching Eye.
Archery--some people love them. I don't think they are very successful and they are usually very rare-intensive.
Twilight Nazgul--Ring-bearer wounding.

There are others people will bring up too, but those seem to be the most possible.

I think your deck rely too much on Ancient Roads to make minions roaming and it can be dangerous if they get discarded. Here is what I suggest:

+2 Gondorian Ranger
-1 Damrod, Ranger of Ithilien
-1 Ancient Roads

I think you could also add Aragorn's Bow as you have a lot of wounding going on. What about Might of Numenor for additional healing?

That's a fair assessment. Doesn't help Madril, Faramir's Aide, but makes sense.

I didn't realize Madril wasn't Ring-Bound. Then maybe you can just do:

+1 Gondorian Ranger
-1 Damrod, Ranger of Ithilien

Yeah, I never really knew why Madril wasn't Ring-Bound. The only reason (I suspect) was that there were no Ring-Bound companions in RotK block except for Frodo, Sam, and Smeagol.

There was no Madril in TTT block.

-1 Anduril, Flame of the West
+1 Ranger's Sword

But I guess it depends if you prefer having +1 Vitality over shooting arrows.

Well, Mike bought three packs and one of his rares was Anduril, Flame of the West. I suspect that stays.

Furthermore, it is important to have at least three Ranger's Bows, because of the combination of Ranger's Bow and Mablung, Soldier of Gondor. Very important to make sure he gets a bow.
