I see Kralik has already mentioned in the thread, but I just saw my emails and Mr Lurtzy reported HawkeyeSPF's post in whaleyland's thread about promo lists. Are you happy with what you have said Kralik?

I tend to agree with Kralik, that the internet sometimes allows for some confusions. That being said, HawkeyeSPF HAS been a jerk for quite some time (I remember him saying something about leaving the site after a discussion, but then he returned, and he was different), considering his latest posts as a whole. I think he deserves a warning, at least.

I think his post to whaleyland came out exactly as he intended it to. (Though to be fair, whaleyland was sort of calling him out on it publicly; maybe that was better left for PMs.) Overall the guy seems like someone with a huge chip on his shoulder and quite willing to let people know it. If he wants his posts to be read as blunt but courteous, I'm sure he can figure out a way how.

I haven't seen all of his posts, so if you all are seeing others that warrant a warning, then by all means it can be done. In that particular case, I stand by what I said: He had taken quite some time to type out what he did, and his later decline did not seem to be rude (to me).

Posted while I was typing my reply.

On the other hand, whaleyland is asking a lot of questions and demanding help for a game he doesn't know much about. Don't get me wrong -- I'm all for new players. But, it seems more like a pet project. I'd expect he could do some of the research on his own.

Of course, the CC community was very gracious towards me when I started asking questions for my pet projects (Lackey, Autolinker, etc). :-k

You are the mod team, so I leave it in your hands! ;D

This seems like a massive overreaction to me. A warning for this seems ridiculous. I think Kralik's response is more than adequate. Unless I'm missing something in the dead pile or a different thread...

IMO the thread in question has been settled by Kralik already.

It's more to do with making waves when he could just let issues go--for example, not only answering a rules question, but also digging in at people and putting them on the spot. I've run across posts in general that have made me incredulous (made some myself, heh) but have tried to tone down responses. Because even if your sentiment is shared by other people, not being able to resist "flaming" will start to cause problems, too.

/2 cents' worth.

Now that last comment was a bit rude. I responded to another part of the post but I'd like to hear your opinion.

Seems like the two parties are all good, so I still don't think it's worth doing anything about.
