ok, here's my suggestions, dump either boromir or aragorn i'd probably dump boromir, get rid of cliffs and both bounder and add a second the tale of the great ring, get rid of poor creature and 2 always helps and just start always helps. add 2x nffatrod in case you want to double and not discard smeagol, lose 1 don't look at them, all the impatient and angry and 1 no help for it, that gives you 33 i think so you can add a generic [Shire] event like Hobbit Intuition which in movie is always strength +3

I appreciate your comments. I like the idea of "generic [Shire] events." My problem with starting Smeagol, Always Helps is that he is really no good without Don't Look At Them. But, if I am just starting him, I don't need the other copies.

Nine-Fingered Frodo and the Ring of Doom  never seemed like a good idea until you described it as such. Then again, the "play Smeagol from the discard pile; if you don't move, discard your hand" no longer seems necessary. Thanks for the comments. I'll playtest everything, of course. But good calls.

Smeagol, AH should be fine... you got 4x Mind your own affairs as well.

Well, The Tale of the Great Ring is not only a one-time use, but also can be prevented!

hmm i see your point, you could change the tale back into bounder, dump bilbo and add like 2 stout and  sturdy or hobbit appetite,  i just like tlae of the great ring better cause it's more powerful and i never see shadow events

With four copies of the Shire Countryside, I think the bigger issue will be winning (surviving?) skirmishes, not healing.

With everything in play, Sam and Frodo are strength 9 (Frodo 11 with the Ring on). That's not going to beat a lot of minions anyways.
