My brother recommended Emma Stone for Rogue. Thoughts?

I don't know that she could pull off a Southern accent.

Here's the thing about Emma Stone...I am quite convinced that she can kick some serious #$&*@!. I am not convinced that she can pull off a fantastic Southern accent.

Emma Stone would be a terrible replacement for the current Rogue... I think the current Rogue is fine.

Anna Paquin is a whiny #$&*@! and a talentless actress. At the least, Stone has spunk and is tougher...Rogue is one of the most powerful mutants--she should be an empowered character instead of a miserable, self-loathing whiner.

I've never been as much a fan of gambit as some others I know, but I think the general casting in X-Men Origins: Wolverine was fine, so I think that Taylor Kitsch as Remy and Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth were fine...Danny Huston did excellently as Col. Striker; I hadn't hated him so much since the first time I picked up the Ultimate X-Men.

While I thought that Liev Schreiber was a good Sabretooth in that film, Taylor Kitsch was a terrible Gambit. It may be a result of a poor script, but I did not like that movie too much. Anyways, I like Wolverine and Sabretooth as older...how about these guys as Wolverine and Sabretooth?

Familiar?

you're link's broken on that picture of sean bean....like any of us here need a link to one.

as far as the other guy for wolverine...I think there's something to be said about association.  Hugh has been permanently associated, in my mind's eye, with Wolverine, and i'm not sure anyone could beat it, any more than sir Ian as Gandalf or (to my dad and grandpa) sean connery as james bond.  Heck, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, bub.

Image repaired.

Sure, Hugh Jackman has come to be associated with a Wolverine. The emotional, somewhat-obnoxious, misunderstood lover-boy Wolverine. The Wolverine I know wasn't even popular until defeating the Hellfire Club in the Dark Phoenix saga...emotionless, misunderstood killer.

Plus, del Toro and Bean look much more similar than Jackman and Schreiber. While Benicio is 6'2" (and Wolverine is supposed to be closer to 5'6", Jackman is 6'2.5" so the height difference between the movie characters is subtle. Plus, being fans of the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, we know a bit about trick-shooting.

Edit: On record, not a huge fan of the Ultimate continuity.

Del Toro actually looks great for Wolverine, but his accent would be a problem imo.  While I love Sean Bean I just can't see him as a Sabretooth.  I actually thought Schreiber as Sabretooth was the highlight of that movie.  Agree about needing a different Gambit though.

If you have seen Sean Bean in movies outside of Lord of the Rings, you may think he'd be a great Sabretooth.

He's gritty, angry, and looks dangerous, especially when he's dirty. Example 1. and Example 2.

Not sure about Sean Bean as Sabretooth. He seems not strong enough to do the job. I guess if he keeps his Brittish accent shut, then he might be able to do it. I'm a fan of Sean Bean, and i agree he's great in playing dark and gritty characters, but I don't see him as a Sabretooth.

As far as Wolverine, I would never replace Hugh Jackman. He did a great job in all of them and even if there are other actors who could do the job, changing Wolverine as a character (which replacing an actor wouls be) would probably be a mess to the universe.

Elisha Cuthbert for Emma Frost has always been my first pic as well! Perfect choice!

Taylor Kitch did a decent job on Gambit in my opinion. Tho I agree the character was just written poorly.

For me the return of Deathstrike (how impossible it might be, but so many have returned from the death in the comics) and Nightcrawler would be perfect. Kelly Hu did a great job as Deathstrike, she looked dangerous and the scene where Striker's poison (I can't think of the name) is done working is brilliantly done in my opinion.

As the writer I am, I've always tried to work on an idea for the next X-men movie. And I thought that Emma Frost should definitely be in it, and I think Magneto's part should definitely be done (Ian McKellen is great, but we need new villains). I'd say bring in Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse (how about Dalip Singh). And in my idea I used some of the less popular mutants, Mimic and Infectia. I think they really could be interesting movie characters.

I'm a big fan of Apocalypse.  He's difficult to cast though - needs to be huge and very intellectual.  I think that you hit the same area of thought about Sean Bean that I have - he just doesn't seem tough/strong enough.  Definitely can show the grit needed, but I don't think he can cut it physically.  (although he is one of my fave actors)

Here's what Sean Bean has going for him:
1. He's old enough for the part I would be casting.
2. He's got the facial structure.
3. He can look dirty enough.
4. He can play the bad guy.
5. He has the intelligence not often enough associated with Sabretooth.

For some reason, it is really easy to see him as Sabretooth. I have seen the range of actors Bean has played and I don't think it would be very difficult to pull that off at all. As for whether or not he has the body type, in the other X-Men movies more money was spent on digitally removing wrinkles from Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen's faces then spent on sets. Making someone bigger is always easier, and although Sean is only 5'10" (and Sabretooth about 6'6"), adding height to him isn't very difficult either.
