Mod for the LOTR boards
« on: April 12, 2009, 01:53:49 pm »
AD is gone for the foreseeable future and as a measure to help the forum stay clean and healthy, I recommend Elessar's Socks take his position for now.

Ah-guh? Thanks TJ, but if it's under consideration, I'd suggest either having several people up there, or have someone else besides me take the place. I can think of others who have a much bigger presence in Chamber of Mazarbul, The Green Dragon, and House of Tom Bombadil, in particular.

Well, the only response I could give is that I roam around every single forum whenever possible, which wouldn't exactly adress the issue from your point of view, so I chose to remain silent. ;)

Sorry for not seeing this until now...but I'm all for the recommended promotion.

All in favor...?
Best regards,

Is it really necessary? If it is, I abide by it.

Well, does anyone want this position (c'mon, don't be shy :P)? TJ, lem0nhead, Thranduil, EL, SoP? I'd nominate TJ myself since he's at the forefront of this push, but not to say at the exclusion of others.

I really don't think its necessary.  is the forum NOT clean right now?

True but i agree with the principles. The majority of those with ultimate mod powers are really infrequent. Cant remember AD's last visit and m64 has dropped off scarily. Dain has had a small case of baby/ health overwhelmingness. SHOULD a situation arise its unlikely it could be dealt with the same day unless it was in a specific forum one of me/Thran or ES/Jordy already modded.

I'm in favor of it. I mean, lem0n makes a point, plus I'm also rarely on even though I only moderate one subforum. I think it would be good.

Despite the complaints that there are too many mods, if most are not active it doesn't help much when moderation is actually needed. Out of this whole forum there are only a few boards that I frequent, so I leave the actual moderation mostly up to you fine fellows. Do you think there'd be too much of a public outcry if we ditched per-board mod status and made all mods universal? (SoP and NBarden, I trust you wouldn't abuse your powers ;)). Dain?
